[2019] I'm absolutely lost on this update

Well, I had a notice pop up that I found/unlocked a side mission to start the gunner unlock, but there's no indicator on my map (blue hexagon). Then I go into BOO and find that all of my specs for each specialization class has been wiped. I found out by no being able to equip the Demolition nades during a lvl 4 control point (Riverside Gas station for the holster bit...no, it didn't drop and I DID wipe the point solo)

So far, update has been more harm, less good. Somebody fill me in.
