I'm not looking to break the skill trees or the game, but I think it would be nice to have the option to swap out the specialization skill item for the weapon.

So, rather than the crossbow you have the option of adding in any seeker mine
Sharpshooter gets you the option for any drone and Demolitionist gives you any turret.

I guess you could restrict it to the actual Specialization skills (artillery turret, heal mine and spy drone), but if there is a trade-off it might be not be a 'buff'.

The trade-off being that you could only deploy 2 skills at once. This would include cooldowns, so if 2 skills are on cooldown you can't use the third.

Console payers could map a third skill to L1+R1 (like TD1s signature skills)

Any takers?

How do you feel the Specializations (weapons, talents, and all) of The Division 2 compare to the free-range talents and skills of The Division?

Edit: Free range insofar as any and all skills and all talents, etc. were all simultaneously available to everyone. No imposed archetypes.

Why must I run with an AR on my survivalist and not a sniper rifle? As a caster i want to be back as far as i can be because I'm super squishy.
For the bit about 'forgetting' the stats and such, I personally chalk it up to being a big piece of gear (up until recently I sported the Sharpshooter outfit as well so it was like an outfit bonus almost) similar to how a pair of gripped gloves wouldn't 'actually' make your grenades do more damage. But I definitely understand the dissonance there.
