I can imagine this would get very confusing when just trying to swap around between Specializations. Everything becoming unequipped or changing if small tweaks were being made might be more disruptive than streamlined.

That said, you can always save your loadouts instead. This slightly separated system should accomplish what you're looking for without impacting other organization systems so heavily.
