I just bought the game yesterday and since then I'm still unable to connect. Sometimes I get Alfa--1 erros, sometimes BRAVO-4 and others. it's not consistent.

My setup is as follows:

I have an internal unifi-based network (10.10.1.*) behind a cable modem (192.168.1.*) so double NAT..

I am currently inside China, but with direct connection through chinese network as well as with VPN through American or European servers, I am unable to connect.

I can see that the servers of ubsioft can be reached and exchange traffic, i.e.to port numbers 55002, 27015 on various servers (162.244.53.14, 34.87.205.35 and others)

I turned off all local firewalls and since other ubisoft games are working fine I doube I have a general problem.

I set port forwarding on my unifi security gateway to match my local PC; however this only works, when I don't connect via VPN. If I make a VPN connection, I can only make 1 port forwarding.

Do you guys have any idea how to resolve this topic?

Hey there,

Thank you for all the detail you have provided, this is incredibly useful to us!

I think you are correct in that this issue could be being caused by double NAT. We would actually recommend not using a VPN at all if that is an option for you.

I am wondering if you are able to set your port forwarding using these connection troubleshooting steps?

If you can set your cable modem and unifi network to forward to those ports it may eradicate the double NAT issue you are having
