Make sure your game is not using your integrated graphics card instead of your dedicated graphics card >>
-- Open Task Manager while the game is open
-- Check the performance tab
-- Look at the GPU engine column
-- Check if your computer is using the correct GPU to run the game

Try a fresh install of your graphics card driver update >>
-- Press the windows key and type 'add or remove program's
-- Open these settings
-- Scroll down the Apps and Features list
-- Find your Nvidia or AMD graphics driver in the list, then select unistall
-- Next, reinstall your latest driver from the Nvidia/AMD website >

Check your games config/settings file to see what version of DirectX you are using >>

-- Open the file in a text editor program
-- Under the graphics settings check to see what DX DirectX version is listed for the game
-- If you make a copy of this file onto your desktop, you can try changing the DirectX version to DX11 or DX12, usually by typing true or false to get the game to use that version DirectX then select save
-- Relaunch the game afterwards, to check if the game launches better using another DirectX version
