I made this video just about an hour ago, because I needed to run through Judiciary Square on "Hard" for a project. Since obtaining the nemesis a few days ago, and having some time to get used to it, I am playing much harder difficulty levels than I used to play. As a solo player, this is very good thing. But I can certainly see how some will feel this is just too easy.
For me, this is how I expect a sniper rifle will work in a combat game. One well placed and well timed shot should drop just about any enemy. You'll see in the video a few named elites are one-shotted. I used the nemesis in this video as the primary weapon, only witching to AR when really necessary. To me, this is a blast. I've been pushing CP's up to level 4 since getting the nemesis, and finding it very achievable. But I am sure there are folks calling for it to be nerfed, etc.
Also, the elite heavy gunners take about 2 to 3 headshots in total and they are down.
For those that are curious, I happened to roll one that get 389K base damage. Taking into consideration the build and all the buffs that I get because of the build,I've seen it hit with 2.4M damage in one shot. Obviously, =the longer you charge the shot, the more power you get. When I heard of this and how long it takes, it killed my desire to get it. But you can make shots with less charge if you need. It just doesn't do the mega damage. For instance, if you need to interrupt a bomb throw, you can do that just as quick as you can with an M700.
Not sure how fair this weapon is in PvP, but since that isn't really my thing and I trust the developers have spent a lot of time making the nemesis and the chatterboxers have equal pros and cons of their weapon. Obviously, if I can keep a distance, then the chatterboxers won't really have a chance. But if I allow the to get in close, I am not going to stand a chance.
