I have several pistols that I can not mark as junk. They show attributes but no amount in the bar that shows percentage amounts. What’s different about these pistols and is there anything I can do to change, improve or sell?

That's strange! I wonder why you're not able to mark these pistols as junk. So that I can take a closer look into this, could you provide an image of these pistols from your inventory? Also, a list of the names of the pistols will help me too.
