[2020] Summit TU11.1 - will the exotic chest still require legendary difficulty to obtain? | The Division 2 Dev Tracker

This question seems to be generating a lot of debate, so rather than bury it in xcel30's thread, I'll ask it directly.

Currently, obtaining the project for the Ridgeways Pride exotic requires that you complete the last ten floors of Summit on Legendary with three directives. This in addition to collecting all the exotic components for each difficulty.

With the announced rework in TU11.1, will this project be available when Summit is completed on any difficulty? Or will it still require that floor 100 be completed on Legendary with three directives?

And no, it wouldn't bother me if it is available on any difficulty, especially as someone who has the chest can share it when it's dropped from an exotic cache.

I can confirm that neither the pieces nor the blueprints will be tied to difficulty when playing The Summit.

Drop rates for the different pieces will not increase with difficulty. These are components and don't behave the same way as most typical Exotic gear drops.

There are no plans for new cosmetics or commendations for The Summit with TU11.1. The halfway Backpack Trophy and Arm Patch and full completion Trophy, Patch, and Dye will still be present though.

Right now Legendary difficulty is only balanced for and geared towards the elite Black Tusk squads.

Specific pieces will drop from set ranges of floors. So if you don't get one of the higher-floor pieces, you will have to make your way back to those floors again. Though the weekly project for completing The Summit should also help provide more reward for reaching the top multiple times.
