Hello, I recently installed a 3080 into my machine and was going some benchmarks. After looking at some reference videos on YouTube I cant help but feel my card is underperforming what everyone else is showing by 10-20 FPS. I have already done a fresh drive uninstall/reinstall. Any thoughts?

Thanks!

Hello @wickd_5 thank you for posting about your 3080 performance.

To add to what others have posted, I use an Asus 3070 with a Ryzen 7 3800x, if I benchmark at 2K resolution and DX11, I get around 110 FPS so I believe the amount you get with your system set up is fine too.

That being said, I do have a few steps you can try out to see if you can improve your FPS rates a little more, please run through them and let us know if you see much improvement >

- Experiment with switching Vsync on and off in the game's settings

- Try running the game in the Windowed and Borderless modes to see if there is a noticeable improvement

- Lower your graphic/video settings in-game so that you do not exceed your Vram limitations in the menu. Running your Vram at max can cause your system to use your normal Ram and which can cause stuttering and lead to crasheand lower you Vram usages

- Check how much ram you are using and the speed of your ram, in the Task Manager 'performance tab'. Does your ram speed show as correct? If not, you may need to change this in your Bios settings. Please see your motherboard manufacturers support guides for how to change your default ram profile in your bios

- Update your Nvidia or AMD GPU drivers to the latest update version available for your model of GPU

- Check to see if you are running conflicting software in the background and disable this software whilst playing the game preferably - https://support.ubisoft.com/en-GB/Article/000063761

- Open your Windows Control Panel, select Power Options, make sure you do not have 'power saver' enabled, next, check the power save 'advanced options' for your CPU, for any restrictions and select Performance mode if able

-Delete any temporary files where your Windows OS and system files are installed (usually C drive).
Use the 'Windows Disk Clean' up tool and select the 'DirectX Shader cache' option and any other files that you no longer need, then select 'Clean up system files', to free up some memory on your OS

This support article should explain how to perform some of these solutions -
