[2020] Purchased the Warlords of NY in PS4 Store, can I automatically get it in game?

Is the game from the same region as your account, or are you using an imported version of the game?

PlayStation region lock their DLC content, so if the game is from a different region that the account then you would not be able to access the content with your version of the game.

Having the game from HK would be the issue in this case.

If you purchase the game digitally now, then yes you would immediately have access to the WONY content.

Just to confirm, it asks you to download the game again when you try to play it? This may be due to regional differences in the versions, such as languages. Is your US version digital too?

Save Data should be bound to you console / PSN account rather than the disc.

The data should still be accessible if you purchased a digital version.
