I was killing a random BT patrol and when only 1 was left a very strange inaccessible area of denial was created.
The moment I stepped into it I would lose control of the character, that would run away from it and would clip his shield into his own body.
I tried going without the shield but the result was the same.
Once I killed the last patrol this AoD disappeared.

Thank you for the update! I tried to reproduce this issue on both PC and PS5, however, I was unable to, I'm afraid.
Can you please confirm if this behavior happens every time you enter this specific location, or is it more random?
