So going from tier 4 to tier 5 i expected to get slaughtered again in tier 5 but this wasn't the case at all. I could kill everything fairly easy with my tier 4 gear. I was disappointed since I love the challenge division 2 can offer.
With a gear score of 448 in no time i had several items of gear score 480-490 though ofcourse a also bunch of items with lower gear score.
I found it boring. Nothing changed. I still mowed down everything in my path with that gear score and I have to be honest very optimized gear with great talents etc. II also had 70%ish damage to elite etc. Granted will almost fully specced survivalist.

So i removed and deconstructed everything i was wearing and put anything i looted of around 450 and lower, random dropped stuff, on me as equipped and started over. Some purples with crap stats etc. It didnt matter much. I didn't want to save gear with great talents etc either. I also deconstructed those. I wanted loot to be exiting again. Also I began with the still zero specced sharpshooter.
A much better experience from then on. Still fairly easy though compared how it was before the update .

Anyone else did this ?

I know the game is hard for a lot of people, I read the forums. and yeah sometimes it would frustrate me too but then mostly because you had no way to push or flank without getting shot to pieces so you were always stuck behind cover way in the back but at least it was very exiting.

At first the update felt good. "hey i can stick my head out of cover to shoot stuff without getting shot to pieces immediately. Now i actually miss how it was before the update.
Its made to easy this time.

Sure after a while when you are geared up and are max gearscore you just want to farm stuff and race through content to get the drops coz well you've seen it all before a dozen times already but still....

People scream to early its to hard. Once you understand how the game works and know how to plan your gear the game will become alot easier for everyone, including the ones that find it to hard at first, and you'll miss the days when every group of enemies would be a thrill instead of you just standing there shooting, not bothering much with cover anymore and killing them so easily.

I remember when i entered tier 4 i got punished severely and had to slowly work my way up to get better gear and even that only took a few hours. I loved it though !!

Thank you for the feedback. Seems like the WT5 Gear Score progression is hitting individual players very differently. I appreciate you taking the time to write all this out. What would you say, of all your play time, has been the hardest (most challenging/rewarding) period of The Division 2 for you?
