[2021] Uplay, Ubisoft Connect, etc will not download

This is a Windows error, and there are a few different reasons why it could be occurring. First off, please make sure that any download or preliminary installation files for Uplay or Ubisoft Connect are removed. If you've played our games before, please use this guide for uninstalling. Moving forward, sometimes your antivirus can interfere with your files and cause this error to appear. To fix the problem, please test out whitelisting/adding exclusions for Ubisoft Connect in your anti-virus software. If you use Windows Defender, there are instructions here. If whitelisting doesn't help, I suggest temporarily disabling your anti-virus and try installing the launcher again. Make sure that it's a fresh download from the Ubisoft Connect website.
