Hello Ubisoft support staff,

This is hands down the biggest bug that needs to be fixed in the next update. Please read the post carefully as I explain the issue in detail :

Material sharing is causing an irreversible deadlock for every character that has materials shared. How? Explained below.

Bug description :

When materials are NOT shared, every character has a cap of 1500 for each material and 80 for brand fibers. Therefore we can pick up new materials until we reach the 1500/1500 limit or 80/80 limit on all of our characters up to 6000 (materials) and 320 (brand sets) combined.

But when we purchase "Account shared materials" from Inaya al-Khaliq vendor in the White House, the game automatically adds the "Amount owned" values of each material on shared characters on top of each other WITHOUT increasing the maximum limit by 1500

So the maximum limit stays the same, but the current amount of materials are now OVER-CAPPED therefore locks the player so they CAN NOT PICK UP or gather that material anymore on ANY of the characters that have materials shared.

After sharing materials is bought, the game does not respect the individual backpack storage cap of each character anymore. It just removes the entire backpack of those characters. Not only making it impossible to loot any new materials until spent below 1499, Their individual storage space is also gone. Their backpack becomes just a cosmetic item. Forcing all four characters to use a SINGLE backpack.

So what's the point of farming in a looting game if I don't even have an inventory on my fresh new character?
Example for better understanding the issue :

Say you have 800/1500 electronics on your 1st character. (before sharing) And 1300/1500 electronics on your 2nd character. And absolutely no electronics on your 3rd and 4th characters. (0/1500) You can still pick up electronics on all of your characters naturally to have 1500 on each, up to 6000 total.

Then you go purchase the "Account shared materials" slip from the Inaya al-Khaliq vendor in White House for all of your characters.

This is where it gets messed up;

Both of the "Amount owned" values are now added ON TOP OF EACH OTHER and the CAP STAYS THE SAME in the resources tab. So you have 1300 + 800 = 2100/1500 on ALL FOUR OF CHARACTERS And that's it, you can't pick up any more electronics on ANY of your characters because ALL of them are now appears to be capped. (when they are clearly not)

Very easy solution for this :

Just like the "Amount owned" value is added between each character that has materials shared, the "Cap" value must be added between each character that has materials shared as well. That's how it's intended to work.

Therefore we can still pick up the materials as our natural cap is not actually reached, AND use materials on every character we share them to AS INTENDED.

OR, another better looking solution :

Keep the 1500 cap for each character, let the amount owned value over-cap, BUT let the game keep track the ACTUAL AMOUNT of materials that has picked up in THAT specific character, on the memory, with a single line of code.

That way even if it appears as 2100/1500 , since our effective actual amount owned is 800/1500 on the 1st character, we could still be able to pick up 700 more to cap at 1500/1500 naturally, (appeared as 2800/1500), Also we can still share and use the materials that are shared from other characters.

This will fix the jamming by still keeping 1500/1500 cap on each separate character, but also share their materials between characters.
