Detail of the bug: When playing this mission once the player has reached the optional portion where player is expected to "Smile and Wave" to activate NPC voice lines and interact with keyboard to open door, waving does not cause NPC voice lines to play, nor allow keyboard interaction. Last collectible and backpack trophy inaccessible if bug occurs.
Full requirements are to destroy yellow electrical box above office with keyboard, wave to the camera to force NPC interaction and voice lines, and interact with keyboard in office next to ammo refill box. Door opens after this if working properly, but DOES NOT function with Fragile Armor activated in the 6-8 times I've tested that directive alone.
Consistent cause found, having the directive "Fragile Armor" activated seems to break this interaction. I have replayed this mission on every difficulty with no directives, and again with every directive active (only one at a time), and the only one that seems to break the progression is Fragile Armor. The directive breaking it doesn't make any sense but hey, I'm no game designer or coder, so not sure if there's some back-end thing going on that's causing this issue.
Just trying to pass information along to players who might be experiencing this bug. Check and see if this directive is active, and if so deactivate it, and the mission "SHOULD" allow you to wave to the camera and the optional portion progress as it should. I know this bug itself has already been posted many a times on Reddit, and at least twice on these forums with video proof of the bug itself. Here's to hoping this bit of information helps other players collect everything from this mission.
