Let me start off by saying I truly loved this game, I put almost a 100 hours into it. It's was best looter shooter I have ever played, good controls, multiple abilities and great weapon customization. That being said lets get into the issue.

My account has been hacked a total of 5 times now and that is even with your crap 2 step verification. The first time I got hacked I noticed my character got deleted and the game language was changed to Russian. I contacted support told them the issue. They gave me my deleted character back and I changed my password. Cool fine now I get to keep playing. A few days later I get hacked again, language changed to Russian and a random character was created. I deleted the character and now added the 2 step verification cause now there is obviously a security breach in ubisoft. Now that should end the problem correct? Wrong. The hacker was still able to get into my account added his friends to my account because he knows ubisoft wont do anything about it and this time stole my gear and gave it to his friends. Now I'm angry because I used your little crap security system and he got right through it no problem no email sending a code to log in. I opened a support chat to inform them of this situation. The ubisoft support person tells me he cant get my gear back its not possible. Now I'm pissed because my gear is gone because your failed security system and this hacker keeps getting to play this game for free. So the support person says to add the 2 step verification. I tell him I already did that and the hacker is still getting through. This guy then tells me no your account is safe and cant be hacked. I again tell him that is not true and the person was still able to get through the verification process. He tells me no your account is safe and cant be hacked again. Your crap head customer service person is telling me that no I wasnt hacked when I'm clearly looking at my character missing gear and my game changed to russian once again. What kind of customer service is that to tell your customer that they're wrong when they have clear proof of your flawed system. Are you so ignorant that you think your system is perfect when clearly its just a piece of garbage that it doesnt work and lets anyone in Russia come in no questions asked. Here's another thing, when I signed on after the second hack I used a different computer in the house and I got an email informing me of suspicious and the IP address it showed was my home and it even said the correct city and state I live in but I never got one when the guy access my account in Russia. So let me get this straight you send that email when I change to a computer 10ft away but you didnt send the email when the account logged in in FREAKING RUSSIA. That is a whole nother country across a freaking ocean and you decide "yeah that's legit" but god forbid I move to a laptop on a couch then its a red flag. So what it seems to be is that you just let anyone in russia play someone elses games for free no questions asked. After that I'm now infuriated and close the support chat and uninstalled the game. Sadly enough I decided to give you guys one more chance a day later because I like the game thinking I'll just get the gear again. I reinstalled the game then logged in and wouldn't you know it hacked again. Character deleted again. Contacted support and they said "we cant find your character and cant bring the character back, nothing we can do".

So this hacker now permanently deleted my character and all you say is "cant do anything". So he gets off with no problems and laughs while I sit here with 100 hours of gameplay wasted, my account compromised with my credit card information and my address at the hands of someone in another country because you dont care. They're in Russia so its good right? This is no longer just a problem with losing my account to play a game. This is now a problem with someone having my personal info and you dont care and are letting them have it.

I wish nothing but the worst for you Ubisoft. If anything is purchased with my credit card I will make sure you pay for it and I don't mean just the $60 for a new game the person bought with my card, even if one purchase is made I will make sure to get a lawyer for the lack of care in a situation where someones identity is compromised.

I saved all the transcripts from the customer service chats so dont try to hide how rude your service people are and I can show that you just dont care about your customers.

I don't think there's any lack of desire to help our customers keep their accounts secure. This is why we've really been pushing the 2 step verification stuff. Usually that's enough to stop people who only have access to your Ubi account.

However, if your email or phone are compromised (which I'm not ruling out at this point, because this is quite unusual from my experience in Customer Support), you urgently need to take all steps necessary to secure those - and there's not much Ubisoft support can do to help you secure third party accounts.

You can also check to see if any suspicious devices are ones that your account has on its "trusted devices" list: https://support.ubi.com/en-US/Faqs/000043059 . If you do have a trusted device, perhaps try removing it (which would force you to use 2 step verification every time - but at this point I'd be trying everything I could).

Eberwyn, this thread is getting too into the nitty-gritty for it to be public. There's also questions that I just don't have the answers to. I used to work over in Customer Support, and I've never seen an account compromised post-2FA. This is why I keep mentioning securing every other account you have (particularly your email). I'll be sending you a private message to keep the conversation going.
