Tried PvP today after leaving it alone since launch due to it being horrific IMO. Was under the impression that insta-death thing was going to get worked on?

Went into the DZ to try and loot some gear after getting to WT5 gear score 496, but was met with a group of 3 agents that could just kill me from any distance INSTANTLY.

I know the ropes, understand its a broken game atm, but how is a player supposed to go into the DZ and get loot out, or was the game designed without any consideration for solo players? Because as it stands skill, experience and equipment has very little to do with what going on in the DZ for me, its just a case of of who sees who first and or who has the most players in they're team, because all you need a little SMG and your unstoppable.

I cant see Rogues until they are 1 meter away, an SMG seems to have the range of a sniper rifle, skills are utterly useless, and no matter how much armour you have it seems it does absolutely nothing, a build centered on armour will get wiped out EXACTLY the same as one built without ANY armour???

All I can see atm is that this patch took away without giving anything in return, I HATE that this game isn't what I had hoped and I truly mean this. Sadly however the game just went down a few notches for me, any more and i'm in the minus.....

I've seen players talk about DZ favoring highly specialized builds over quality/hybrid builds, due to Normalization.
As to the work you're referring to, there have been some tweaks to specific Talents that were both popular and consistent among some of the best performing builds, as well as general skill and weapon mod changes. I'll link the full patch notes here.
