Had the opportunity to play with a Clan today, one that's I suppose well know, on the Raid leader boards, and to be fair has some damn good player in.
Sadly the experience was abysmal. Me and a friend were treated like second rate needy noobs, told what we should be doing, swore at, had players nudging at us to try and provoke a response, and all because we just wanted a job to do in the Gas room. We asked to push the buttons as we had specific hazard resistance build loadouts and knew the Clan had full on DPS, so it was a good match, or so we thought.
I've read a fair few posts about Elitist patterns emerging in The Division 2, and I believed them, but until now I had no idea how bad it has become, IMO Ubisoft has created something so brilliant the players are going to destroy it with the amount of freedom given to them. Some folks just cant handle being a position or power, or belonging to a group that has credit.
I was absolutely gutted, they say never meet your hero's, this was the case today. Worst case of toxicity I've personally experienced in The Division 2 so far on me or witnessed on anybody else. I was chuffed to begin with, I knew the Raid would be a speedrun so naturally I had OBS running... I now cant upload the video to my Channel to show either how well the Raid went or how toxic they were as I risk tarring those genuinely good players in this Clan with a Toxic brush.
It was actually like something out of Dickins story, we were just low class scum and they were Gods to be obeyed. They never even took the time to notice we were both already Raid experienced, had the E.B and have completed the majority of Raid commendations, including Blitzkrieg... I never asked to join, a party member invited them.
So sad but I feel this is the way it will be in The Division 2 now, there is no stopping the train. And the real kicker is, these Clans full to the max will likley just kick loyal players to make room for more "Suitable" ones. Hopefully the roundabout swings for a few of those that took it upon themselves to become my mater today.
Gutted.
