PVE'ers steal convoys, provide resources, rescue hostages, secure control points, assist in taking down "Chunky" every time he pops up, secure broadcasts, etc, etc, etc...so what do allies do in return? Not a whole heck of a lot. A little assistance with control points, but that's negligible at best, with me knowing full well they're probably going to get taken over within the next half hour of trying to secure another one.

I can't begin to count how many Level 4 control points I've taken down, and I have a strategy that I engage in before actually taking the point and that's clearing out the area around it first before I even pop the flare. That way, allies have a straight path to reach the point and don't get locked into conflict. But what happens when they're all dead 2 minutes into taking the point?

I've got a crazy LMG build (GS 505) that melts named elites in under 60 rounds, but what happens when your stuck fighting up close and have 9 - 10 other elites that only need an open window to hit you with a skill that staggers you and that's usually a wrap. Some literally knock you right out of cover.

Now, if I'm keeping my allies alive by killing as many baddies as I can in the process, why can't they at least cover me during a reload? Or fight enemies that are already danger close? It seems like when these control point fights span on, it's like they glitch out and just stand around looking dumbfounded. Am I the only one that notices this or has spoken up about it? Isn't it time for it to be addressed?
