Currently having a crash issues with The Divison 2 on PC. Note that this is the ONLY game I have ever had crash on my PC since I re-built/upgraded it 4 months ago. I also have played many Ubisoft games like Assassin's Creed, Rainbow Six Siege, etc without issues. Also tons of Steam games, and Microsoft Games Pass PC without issues as well.

What I am getting:

The game simply will freeze up entirely, give a separate window from Uplay and say the game has crashed and ask to send a crash report or not. Then in the Windows Event Viewer System logs it shows this....

Event ID 4101. 2 of these to be exact everytime and are Warnings (Yellow Exclamation)
Display driver nvlddmkm stopped responding and has successfully recovered.

First of all system specs of my PC I am using

-Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 1909 (Runs off m2 ssd WD Black)
-AMD Ryzen 3700X at 4.2GHZ
-NVidia GTX 1080 - MSI
-32GB DDR4 RAM
-1.5 TB SSD I run games off of, 1 512GB Sata and 1 1TB Crucuial m2SSD.
-Using a ViewSonic 144hz 1440p monitor

Fixes tried to resolve this issue (1 changed at a time so I know if 1 worked or not)

1. Un-installed Drivers with DDU clean in Safe Mode - Re-installed latest NVidia Driver (Did not resolve)
2. Changed Power Supply Plugs, making sure both to the Video card are not from same plug. Example here https://drive.google.com/file/d/1m0H...6YVJ83c2x/view (Did not resolve)
3. Changed power settings in NVIDIA COntrol Panel>Manage 3D settings>power management mode. Change to "Prefer maximum performance" (Did not resolve)
4. Use MSI Afterburner and lower both the "Core Clock" and "Memory Clock" options by around 100 (so they say -100). Apply and close. (Did not resolve)
5. Changing many in game graphics settings, example v-sync on/off (did not resolve)

Is there any diagnostics that can be of used or more that can be seen than just the non descriptive errors I am seeing? I feel since I am not getting this on ANY other game and I play a LOT of games that it's relevant to this game specifically causing the crashing

Hey MuleskinnerLU,

I can see that you haven't contacted us yet on the support site with your dxdiag and msinfo. Are you able to get in touch with that info so we can see if we can help

I did a full hardware and OS analysis, so nothing else is wrong in my machine and NO OTHER GAMES cause this issue. Honestly, to Ubisoft support this is an issue with your Directx12 Rendering with the development of the game. You should look at patching this as it's a common issue and I bet you could replicate it with another computer (If you can't I would be shocked since there is tons of people who have this issue).
I'm pleased that your issue is resolved. I will pass your feedback onto the Division 2 team.

If you experience any further issues, please let us know.
