[2019] Terrible lag/loss of sound since last patch

Immediately following the last patch the lag and sound loss that seems to be triggered by firing my weapon has appeared. As of right now, after trying to get to a different server by logging out and back in three times with no luck, I have had to quit playing because it is just that bad, absolutely unplayable.

I am on a pretty good rig and have not had a problem with this game until as I said, the last patch and am wondering if anyone else is experiencing this on PC (NA)?
