Randomly the game will drop fps like it's struggling with something and then go back to normal. Been doing it since the beta. I'm out of options. I've tried literally everything I've thought of to try.

I'm not going to post my graphical settings because they make no difference, i've changed all of them. I have no obvious way of attaching a dxdiag and msinfo file here.

GTX 1080ti.

i7 8700k 3.7ghz

Game and launcher installed on an SSD.

I have an Acer Predator Gsync monitor. Every single iteration of vsync on/off fullscreen/windowed fullscreen/ in-game settings does nothing. My friend reports witnessing me remain stationary at a full sprint while it happens to me.
Disabling real time windows protection does nothing.

Overlays of every kind disabled including windows game bar. Performance charts in task manager show no discernible spikes in CPU or GPU load when it happens.

Turns out TD2 was using the page file on my HDD and not my SSD. Once I disabled the page file on my HDD the game starting running smooth as butter again. Hope this helps

@A.C.H.I.L.E.S Can you clarify if the same happens to you when you use DX11?

Hello gabrepotter. I was able to locate your ticket regarding your performance issues with DX12. I have passed on your MSINFO file to the TD2 team for review. I noticed you mention you still experience performance issues with DX11. Is it worse or any better compared to DX12 issues?

Your recent copy of your MSINFO still shows the following on Start Up. Please disable:
- OneDrive
- BitTorrent
- Steam
- Epic Games Launcher
- Discord

Can you clarify what HDD you have TD2 and Uplay installed on? What HDD do you have your OS on?
I can see some error messages related to UNIGINE Benchmarks. Are you able to disable or uninstall this program by chance?
Could you also try lowering your refresh rate to under 60 Hz for troubleshooting purposes?
