[2021] Refer a friend program issue

I am a Veteran player now on PC I formerly played the original release on console. I referred someone using the link provided from the ubisoft website and they set it up as I saw both of us had the icon by our names. We ran 3 missions and some open work activities spending about 2 1/2 hours exploring. They had to head out and checked the website to see if it showed our progress only to see that it made mention on PS4 when we are both on PC. I am hoping the game did not screw us... Any info?
