Today I launched The Division 2, and got the typical "Please wait while the patch data is installed" and then "Please wait while it's verified" and then finally "Patch data updated. This requires a restart" which happens whenever there's a new patch. The problem is when I restart the game, it does it again. And again. And again. It's an endless loop of Hey! It's a patch. Okay, you're good- restart. Hey! It's a patch.

I've tried a fresh install
verifying files
deleting Uplay and its registry entries and fresh installing that
removing some files to FORCE a verify file redownload

I've run out of options, Ubi Support has been useless and just sending me down a rabbit hole. Has anyone had this happen?

It's almost like the game recognizes a new patch as been downloaded, tries to install, installs it but then when I launch the game again it can't remember that it just did that?

Should the steps there fail to resolve this error, I'd recommend making sure your online services are communicating properly with ours by completing our connectivity guide as well. With this being said, if both guides fail to resolve this error, please get in touch with our support teams on our support website and attach your Msinfo and DxDiag files to your ticket, then post your case numbers in this thread.
