I just wanted to start the game to have a second look at the final manhunt battle.

And again I am confronted with a forced 3 hour 67 GB download. What are you guys doing? This is happening again and again!!! Stop this!!!

This never happened in the past and never happened with other games when there were updates. I had this several times now being confronted with these 3 hour downloads.

Hello @GnarlyAtol1793,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention!

Just to confirm, the download is triggered automatically, when the game detects a new update available. Some updates are bigger and contain enhanced features, while others are downloading larger files in order to shrink the overall size of the game upon installation.

While it's possible that download is also triggered when some of the installed files are corrupted, can you please confirm when did you experience a similar download last time?

Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Thank you for the update, @GnarlyAtol1793!

It sounds like your game was scheduled for a major update that has been downloaded - it is indeed working as intended. However, if you experience any unexpected updates with larger files than usual from now on, can you please update this thread, so we can investigate it for you? It'll also allow us to keep the track of the timeline for you in order to validate which patches are being installed from today.

Many thanks and if you have any other questions, please let us know!

Hello @GnarlyAtol1793,

Thank you for the update - it definitely doesn't sound right, to be fair, and I'm sorry to hear about your experience.

I suspect that somehow your files are getting corrupted which results in chunky downloads. Can you please perform all of the troubleshooting steps listed in this article first?
Secondly, can you please reinstall your game? These steps will help you to eliminate any potential software conflicts.

Many thanks and if you have any additional questions, please let us know.

Hello @GnarlyAtol1793,

Not at all! All your characters and progress are being tied to your Ubisoft account and are also being saved in the cloud - the only way to delete the character is, in fact, your manual deletion / replacing it with a new one.

I hope it helps and if you have any other questions, feel free to update this thread!
