I honestly can't tell, i already complained and bugested a lot of the crossbow and so far i see a lot of issues with it, mainly everytime i think it could be good in this situation i quickly also think how much better would have the GL and Tac-50 would have been. Should i use it against heavily armored bosses? the Tac-50 could probably break their armor with 3 shoots and kill the boss while i would have been reload from the second bolt. Should i try making a trap where enemies would be? i could just hit them with the GL. Can you hit people behind cover? Nope. Can you use it to one shot dangerous enemies? nope. Is the status effect relevant? nope. Is the armor bonus relelvant? nope.

So has anyone found any actual use for the crossbow? because causing status effect that lasts almost nothing , does almost no extra damage and by the time you have changed back to your weapon to hit the enemy stuck with bleed the effect would already be half gone.

Balance is always a touchy topic, since it fundamentally impacts everyone but can be (in a lot of cases) largely subjective. To that end it can help to have those subjective views from both people who do and do not primarily use whatever the thing is. Please be mindful of this as discussion about balance evolve so we can ultimately cultivate better feedback and less toxic discourse.

On a more personal note, I had an interesting conversation with a player about the Crossbow. The main conceit was that because the Crossbow is the only Spec. weapon that can proc an infusion on the BTSU gloves that it is in a unique spot against the other Spec weapons (giving it a huge bonus from possible synergy). Which, needless to say, I found incredibly fascinating.

For sure - synergy is ideally an addition, not a crutch or compensation (at least in this case).

Please be respectful of other's opinions and gameplay preferences, everyone. This is an insightful thread so far and I would appreciate it if we could keep it that way.
