I just dont think Ill ever be in a position to raid, especially not enough for .025% exotic chance. I would like to attain the new exotic AR but since its a raid drop only, its kinda cut off from me. So my question is why lock a good exotic behind an activity realistically not everyone will have open to them? Im fine with it just being in the normal or even DZ loot pool but locking things behind group play is not good and promotes me to stop playing since its out of reach. I dont think thats your intention Massive but thats what I see, imo.

Well, it's a practice that has multiple functions... It can encourage players to perhaps try something out of their comfort zone of gameplay or go a step further and challenge themselves (either in finding a group to participate or the gameplay itself). Having specialized drop locations can also make it easier to selectively farm for a specific piece of gear (i.e. if all Exotics dropped from all sources, your chance of getting the one specific exotic you want is technically (in most cases) lowered). It can also act a sort of trophy for a player's dedication and prowess to the game.

This is a topic that has been discussed quite a bit since before The Division 2 was released. But I'm always curious about how individuals look at it. What kind of potential reward would be big/alluring enough that it might make you go the distance and try the Raid?
