[2020] Are Textiles Useless Now?

I had thought, once season 2 ended, that the clothing items from the apparel event would become available for purchase with textiles... so far that does not seem to be the case. They're only available for real world cash. Since I already own every other cosmetic item in the game - aside from a few from season 2's apparel event - I'm wondering what the purpose of textiles is now? Are they just completely useless after a certain point? Or will those items from season 2's apparel event eventually become available for purchase with textiles?
