[2020] Free Trackmania Requires Activation Code

Hi.

I am having issues trying to download the free version of the new Trackmania game. I went to the Ubisoft store and found the game there. Pressing play now opens a prompt to either download Uplay or open Uplay. Since I have it installed I chose open Uplay. It sendt me to a screen requiring an activation code, even though I chose the free game option. On Youtube I saw a tutorial, and there the game was under "free games" in the games tab. Nothing there, just a bunch of trial/demo games.

As I haven't found anyone posting about with this issue I have chosen to post this thread.
