s | hello everyone my name is Spam and |
---|---|
s | welcome to the very first episode of |
s | Meet the trekmania community |
s | [Music] |
s | and my first interaction with Trek Mania |
s | was back when I was still in in school a |
s | friend showed it to me it was uh the |
s | year 2008 so I visited his house quite |
s | often to uh play trick Mania and I was |
s | hooked ever since I managed to get |
s | myself my own PC back then I don't have |
s | like full memories but I I do remember |
s | playing full speed mainly it was always |
s | like very fast maps with loopings wall |
s | rides big jumps and then later on I |
s | started playing more of the nadeo |
s | campaign and joined my very first uh |
s | Team or Clan as we called it back in the |
s | days to do some competitions against |
s | each other I wanted more I wanted a |
s | bigger challenge that's when I started |
s | playing against more of the back then |
s | Pro players mainly in 2010 is when I |
s | switched over to more of the serious |
s | Tech competitions |
s | um that's also when I saw like |
s | qualifications for eswc back then and I |
s | was very interested because Esports at |
s | the time was very small on 2011 I did |
s | indeed qualify myself for the World Cup |
s | after looking up to bergy winning it in |
s | 2011 I didn't win it I got fourth which |
s | is a extreme feat for my very first |
s | offline event at the biggest stage from |
s | there on it only went better and better |
s | from the moment I started |
s | um trying my best to compete in Trek |
s | Mania I wanted to become the best and |
s | that was my goal from uh from that |
s | specific moment and well how do you rate |
s | someone to be the best well in my |
s | opinion it's if you win the World Cup |
s | foreign |
s | universe |
s | I win in 2012. can I stay at the top for |
s | as long as I can and that was that was |
s | then my next stage basically I wanted to |
s | prove to everyone that I was still a |
s | very good player 2014 I got fourth at |
s | the World Cup again and then in 2015 I |
s | also got top four in the World Cup again |
s | so when you see your your play things |
s | dwindled down a little bit you think to |
s | yourself man what am I doing wrong do I |
s | have to put in more effort do I need to |
s | change my training regime what is going |
s | on with me where I cannot stay at the |
s | top anymore so it's really mentally |
s | draining after like 12 years of playing |
s | you get to a point where you take things |
s | a little bit more easier because you |
s | have done so much I was putting in so |
s | much effort to try my best for good |
s | results and the results didn't come it |
s | was a very hard decision for me to make |
s | to stop trekmania Grand league but it |
s | was inevitable right now I'm very happy |
s | with that decision I feel much better I |
s | feel much more relaxed and also like you |
s | know Closing one door is not always the |
s | end of everything because it will open |
s | up many other doors I think my very |
s | first streams were in 2012 and this was |
s | right after I won the uh the World Cup I |
s | wasn't team dignitas at the time and uh |
s | Michael Odell who was the CEO of Team |
s | dignity just told me yeah you should get |
s | into streaming because people would |
s | really want to watch like a Pro Gamer |
s | showcase their driving and I was |
s | streaming for like five or six people |
s | because |
s | it was only mainly dignitas people that |
s | knew that I was streaming I didn't have |
s | social media I didn't have anything but |
s | it was fun and eventually it started |
s | growing a little bit I got to 20 viewers |
s | I was super happy with 20 viewers back |
s | then I remember this I started streaming |
s | which eventually turned out to be like |
s | my work right now which is crazy to |
s | think about but it didn't come easy at |
s | all I started with like five viewers and |
s | now I'm streaming for a thousands plus |
s | like it's it's a very long journey that |
s | I just kept on going with and uh yeah I |
s | cannot be more happy where I am right |
s | now my growth has been very very |
s | consistent and steady consistency for me |
s | has been my winning factor I never |
s | really skipped out on anything I still |
s | really really enjoy playing trick Mania |
s | I think I will never ever stop playing |
s | this game it has been 50 of my entire |
s | life I've been playing trick Mania which |
s | is insane to think about I found my |
s | Social Circle really online that's |
s | basically where I found my myself being |
s | the happiest I had my friends online it |
s | was really a thing where I learned how |
s | to how to socialize how to speak English |
s | there are definitely skills that you can |
s | learn throughout gaming in general and I |
s | think it's very frowned upon that people |
s | or like older generation always says oh |
s | yeah you never socialize blah blah blah |
s | blah but gaming is is socializing it's |
s | just in a different way I really have |
s | one one particular goal in mind that I |
s | still want to do and that is host and |
s | host my own offline event I always think |
s | back at the times when I played The Nest |
s | when we had 16 players in a villa with |
s | very nice weather we had a swimming pool |
s | the vibe was really nice and I missed |
s | that I I really want to maybe try |
s | something in a similar Trend that's |
s | going to be my main focus that I really |
s | want to do is host an offline event |
s | that's the goal so like I said early on |
s | I always try to set myself goals to work |
s | towards this is my next one |
