It's probably something to do with how it's integrated into Steam.  If I had to guess, the problem is likely that it's treated like a Steam purchase being made through an external app - you're not *really* buying Tennogen items from DE.  You're buying them from Valve.  (The part where trying to buy one opens a Steam page strongly hints at this.)  So to gift Tennogen, you'd actually need to send it as a *Steam* gift purchase.  And the UI isn't set up to allow this.  Maybe Steam doesn't permit it, maybe it's just really difficult for the return on time invested.  It could even be an issue that (for security reasons) Steam can't/won't share user information.  I know that my Warframe nickname is not necessarily the same as my visible Steam nickname.

Right now a lot is going on with Riven Trading discussions. Without getting into personal details, we are reviewing what took place.

As this review has unfolded, we want to experiment with applying a broader change that will prevent any individual market manipulation. This will also allow tool creators fair grounds to use clear and authorized sources of data that abides by all terms and policies.

Simply put, we will be trying out providing aggregated actual Riven trade value data for toolmakers to use. No more basing trades off of what people are posting in trade chat as asking prices, toolmakers will have access to per-platform actual Trade values.

When the data is set up we will post links and explain the update cadence / data, then toolmakers can either start or continue to provide Riven trade analysis for players. Our team has started putting everything together, I'm hoping we'll have our first release in a couple of weeks.

I'll be dropping in and posting some of the weekly reports I get from our professional Mod team so everyone knows what we're tracking and why in terms of moderation and noteable trends. It should be very clear from these reports the entirety of why we bother Moderating at all, and what our priorities are since making systemic changes. Luckily for a game as large as ours our Problematic User list is quite short, but it allows us a consolidated area to keep our in-game Region chat focused on our Space Ninja game.
