Heya Kraiova,

I am having issues replicating this bug, and the video you have provided doesn't seem to work. Could you try re-uploading it to a video sharing website such as Youtube, Vimeo or Streamable?

Additionally, if it isn't already, could you try changing your GUI scaling to 100% and see if it solves the issue?

As you said, this is an issue exclusive to German localization, and has been fixed for a future update to the game!

Heya Deathbringer96!

Let's try to figure this one out together, it could be caused by a bunch of different things.

Could you try these things:
1. Make sure you don't have any mods enabled
2. In Steam, right click the game, select Properties -> General -> Launch Options and check that it is empty
3. Rename your "Documents\Paradox Interactive\Crusader Kings III"-folder so a new one is generated

If everything above fails:
1. Right click the game on Steam -> Manage -> Browse local files
2. Delete everything inside the Crusader Kings III installation folder
3. In Steam, right click the game ->Properties -> Local Files -> Verify integrity of game files

This will reinstall the whole game.

Please report back after you've tried out these steps! :D

I managed to replicate your issue using the steps you outlined, I can also see that more notification messages are affected as well. I have forwarded this issue to the development team who will take a look and make sure it gets fixed!

Heya mateegus, and thank you for your report.
First of all, to find the cause of this issue, could you try disabling all mods you might have enabled?

If that doesn't work, please complement this post with an affected save file and logs from your Documents/Crusader Kings III/Logs folder :)

Thank you for the additional reports, I'll have them logged into our database.

Hopefully some better news about the cultural traditions, we have a fix confirmed and are looking at releasing a patch with this issue resolved soon!

I am sorry that my comment came across as disrespectful. My intention was to provide an alternative way to access the descriptions until the fix is in, but I recognize that that is not a valid solution, and I am once again sorry for that.

Hopefully some better news, we have a fix confirmed and are looking at releasing a patch with this issue resolved soon!

Heya San Troy, this is not an issue as it seems like you are editing the wrong file. The DESC_KEY is the ID of the actual faction object, not the name of the type from the script files

For modding help, I would recommend you to make a post here, where our amazing modding community will be able to help you out!

The issue with Cultural Traditions missing descriptions is currently being investigated by our development team, and exists in our "known issues list".

You also mentioned that there were events with inaccurate translation, it would be extremely helpful to us if you had any examples you could link so that we can have them checked out by our localization team!

Unfortunately, as always before a launch, we encourage you to wrap up any saved games you might have ongoing, as any major updates will almost certainly create issues with those saved games. If you want to continue any previously made saves, we recommend you to revert to the previous update on steam, and conclude your run before jumping into Royal Court!

Heya FunGaming, I just went into the game and used the "bypass" console command, and I didn't manage to replicate the same error you had.

Could you try disabling all mods, and see if you still have the same issue when using the command?

Heya sdsoldi! This issue seems to already exist in our database, and is currently being handled by our dev-team.
As this issue will likely be fixed in our next update, if possible, please change the game language to English in order to access the Cultural Traditions description.
