Launched on February 19th 1931, Aigle (“Eagle”) became the lead ship of the French destroyer series of the same name. In the early years of WWII, Aigle accompanied convoys transporting soldiers and gold bars, and in the summer of 1940 took part in a raid on Genoa, repelling attacks from Italian boats. Aigle was scuttled at Toulon along with other ships of Vichy France in November 1942 to prevent it from falling into the hands of Nazi Germany.

The Aigle is back for Golden Eagles and is here to stay! You can get this destroyer for 850 Golden Eagles.

Not all fighting in World War II took place at the front lines. Allied aircraft carried out risky missions over German territory in order to destroy factories that were producing enemy armored vehicles.

Much has been dedicated to the heroism of bomber pilots and the fighters covering them — and we want to honor them in our aircraft event too.

When: February 9th (13:00 GMT) until February 12th (13:00 GMT) take part in the Guardian Angel event!

This event takes place exclusively in Air Realistic Battles. The US team has bombers and escorts whose objective is to destroy targets and provide bomber cover. The German team must intercept these bombers and prevent them from destroying their targets!

The occasion chosen for the celebration was the accession of Jimmu, the first emperor of Japan, which, according to legend, took place on the 1st day of the 1st month of the lunar year.

With the transition to the Gregorian calendar in 1873, it was decided to fix the holiday date to February 11th. This holiday was abolished in the post-war period, but later returned again in 1966 — no longer as a celebration of the emperor, but as a celebration of the founding of the country.

The French AMX-30 main battle tank entered service as early as 1966, but its first real combat test came on January 30th 1991 during the Gulf War. During the Battle of Khafji, Qatari AMX-30s fought Iraqi T-55s, destroying three enemy tanks and capturing four more with only the loss of two AMX-30s.
