With The Great Push, our first one-off tournament of the year, we are bringing a new style of competitive dungeon running distinct from the foundations set by the Mythic Dungeon International (MDI). Instead of teams fighting to beat their opponent’s time, The Great Push is focused on teams pushing keys as high as they can, striving to out survive their competitors and be crowned the champion!

How The Great Push Works

  • The Great Push stands separate from the MDI. Any team of five ...

At only eight years old, Riccardo Romiti pulled a game from a shop shelf, enamored with the portrait of a grizzled space marine emblazoned upon the box. Three years later, he would sign with a professional StarCraft II team and skyrocket to fame in the European StarCraft scene. Now, at only 18, he’s a laureled prodigy and world champion—and only the second ever non-Korean to receive the title.

Catch up with Riccardo “Reynor” Romiti, the 2021 IEM Katowice champion who became a StarCraft II professional at the age of 11, and learn more about his rise to fame, his secret to winning, and what he intends to do now that he’s #1.

“A perfectly balanced game doesn’t mean it will be fun. Design something fun and then balance it, it’s often more difficult the other way around.” – Josh Noh, Overwatch Game Designer

As any transcendent omnic monk will tell you, finding the path to balance is no simple task. Thankfully, the Overwatch team has a buddy-cop-duo of designers dedicated to finding the sweet spot where everyone feels powerful, but not punishing. Geoff Goodman, a 20+ year Blizzard veteran teams up every day with Josh Noh, a hotshot top 500 player, to help create and balance the living landscape of Overwatch’s Hero design.

Recently, Geoff and Josh had some ride-along additions to their two-man team in the form of professional Overwatch League players, streamers, and content creators. As some of the most active members of the Overwatch community, these lucky few donned their designer jeans (...get it?) and were asked to takeover for Geoff ...

We’ve made several adjustments to the Rewards Track over the last few months, based on player feedback: increasing rewards, upping the frequency of rewards, and removing limitations that might make rewards more difficult to obtain. We’re always iterating on our systems and features, and the Rewards Track is no exception.

When the Rewards Track refreshes for the first time when Forged in the Barrens launches, all players will automatically be granted any unclaimed rewards on both the free track and the Tavern Pass track (if purchased), and a completely new Rewards Track featuring a bevy of new unlockable loot will take its place.*
