We wanted to give everyone a heads up regarding an upcoming change to the Echoing Tyrstone, the healing trinket from the Dawn of the Infinite mega-dungeon. The heal currently restores all nearby allies for a flat amount, but with this change will be split among the targets within its radius and deals increased healing based on how many targets received it. And with the heal now being split among those targets, we’ve also increased the amount of healing that can be recorded by 70%.

We are making this change as we’ve seen this trinket performing strongly in raids to the point of competing with major class cooldowns, but its performance overall is varied based largely on how many people are with the healer. We’re hoping that this change to its functionality will help stabilize its performance in both dungeons and raids so that it doesn’t under, or over perform as much as it currently does.

Quick update on some discussions we’ve seen -

Defeating Scalecommander Sarkareth on the highest difficulty will cover your best chance for getting the Cracked Titan Gem that week. Doing the encounter extra times on lower difficulties won’t increase your chances of getting the item.

We’ve seen a lot of discussion around ratings in Dragonflight Season 2 the past couple of weeks and we’ve reviewed and discussed the current state of ratings and matchmaking. Coming out of Season 1, we saw a large disparity between what rating a player could hit in Solo Shuffle compared to other rated brackets. We wanted to have less rating disparity between the different brackets, so the general skill level between each feels roughly the same, with the goal of being able to obtain the highest ratings in 3v3.

We have seen the comments in the community regarding some Chromie quests in Fractures of Time on the PTR and we understand your concerns. We’ve been iterating and discussing all of these quests internally, and we’re in the process of adjusting and removing quests. These changes will be available in an upcoming PTR build. The development team spends the majority of their time on the latest content which includes both brand new things and iterating on the latest additions to the game. That said, legacy content is something we cherish and do try to make some focused improvements on it when possible. In this week’s PTR update, a new update is available for testing:

• Players that have defeated Garrosh Hellscream in Siege of Orgrimmar may now skip directly to The Inner Sanctum on all characters on the account by reading the scroll hanging on the wall near Loremaster Cho at the entrance.
  • Developers’ note: Siege of Orgrimmar is a long, linear raid with a rare mount and plate shoulders held covetously by Garrosh Hellscream, its final boss encounter. We hope that the shortcut implemented here will allow players who’ve experienced this part of the story before to skip directly to the final showdown for a chance at earning those unique collectibles.

To provide more transparency on the actions that get taken against exploitative accounts, here is a breakdown on the number of actions that have been taken over the course of the last month:

All of these actions are for cheating or exploitation which are primarily permanent bans or 6-month suspensions. This number does not include separate actions like character name or in-game language violations. We will continue to evolve our methods and act against these malicious accounts on a daily basis.

These dungeons are once again available for play, thank you for your patience.

The Catalyst’s Boon quest became available a week earlier than intended. This quest just points people to the location of the Revival Catalyst which remained unavailable this week. The initial quest has been fixed to become available with the release of the Revival Catalyst after maintenance the week of June 13.

Due to an issue with new Keystones received by players, access to all Mythic Keystone dungeons has been disabled while the issue is investigated. An update will be provided when these dungeons are reactivated.

Just a quick callout on two of the items available during this event. The Tyrael’s Charger mount and the Horadric Haversack 36-slot bag each have a significantly higher chance of dropping on the first Treasure Goblin kill of the day on any character on an account. Subsequent kills or kills on alts have reduced chances for these items. All other items have the same drop rate for each kill.

Here’s a bit of info on how this works:

Once Scalecommander Sarkareth has been defeated for the first time on Mythic difficulty, the Cracked Titan Gem item that begins a Legendary weapon questline for Evokers will have a chance to drop from Scalecommander Sarkareth on all difficulties after the weekly reset in the region that he’s been defeated in. The item will be very rare on Raid Finder difficulty (when available) and slightly increases in drop rate with each difficulty.
