How about you wait and see tomorrow when it goes live?

It's coming in Chapter 4. It and the Squad Respawn feature didn't make it in this update, unfortunately.

Chapter 4: Defying the Odds

Hello, Battlefield™ V players, and welcome to the June update!

This is a larger update that adds content for Tides of War and the Armory, as well as several quality-of-life improvements and bug fixes. The most noteworthy of our issue fixes are those addressing performance when firing or getting fired at, which in some cases could cause frame spikes. We’re bringing tweaks to weapons, vehicles, and soldier behavior, too.

The full notes are listed below. You can also jump into the notes on the Battlefield™ Forums and Reddit to join the discussion and keep the feedback coming.

He did the same to the UK Servers Megathread despite it being a continued place for reasonable debate, it would seem that if a thread gets to a point where they know they can't resolve it they close it. Looks bad for publicity and best to sweep it under the carpet... this game is a damage limitation exercise at this point. The whole situation makes me feel disappointed and it feels like our opinion is worthless

The only time I close a thread is when the topic has gone from a discussion to non-constructive, non-stop negativity, with insults and abuse towards staff, employees, mods, and even other players. And when I do close a thread, I always provide a reason for the close, the latest information that is available from the Dev team, and note that when I get any new information, we'll be sharing it on official threads.
I posted a few times in the UK Megathread regarding the situation based on details, facts, and analytics from the Dev team - and was resoundingly pushed back on. Unfortunately, in the role of CM, sometimes we have to share information that the community doesn't want. "Don't shoot the messenger" is definitely not always the mantra when folks have an ax to grind and you're the publicly facing employee. And that's fine, because that's the role I wanted and have chosen. But there are rules on the Battlefield Forums and, to be very fair, the moderation team on Battlefield fo...

If you can't detach yourself enough to actually represent DICE in a positive way every time you post, then you should search for a different job. Nobody has time to deal with a community manager who gets too personally offended to remain professional.

I appreciate you sharing your perspective, u/Elloimjoe. If I may give a counterpoint?

If I totally disconnect my personal feelings - my passion, my drive, my excitement - from my job, you’ll get Community Bot 2.0 - a soulless, lifeless creature that only posts information, doesn’t fight for the betterment of the community, doesn’t spend personal time chasing down fixes, new info, community tools to improve the quality of life for the community he was part of before the job. You don’t want that. I know this because I’ve seen firsthand how that goes and how gaming communities chew up those types of folks because it’s disingenuous, it’s fake, it’s not the type of CM I would want in any community I participate in or the type of CM I would want to be. When I have a bit of sass - note: I don’t attack people, I don’t insult them, I don’t personally abuse them (because all of that is childish and demeaning to them and myself) - I talk the exact way I wo...

You're completely right, but you also come off as a bit aggressive here, man. It's almost the type of thing I'd say in middle school as an angry retort. Not trying to offend you, just letting you know!

I definitely appreciate that feedback and your perspective and I will work on it. I don’t want to seem aggressive by any means.

I guess it’s better than being aggressive aggressive like the post I was replying to that told me to stop doing my actual job and to go be a Dev, followed by some lovely name-calling.

Words on a forum, Twitter, etc. don’t affect me, my dude. And I rarely give 1/1000th of the snark back that I get. When I do get a little sassy, pearls start getting clutched and it’s rather hilarious.

I do take exception to blatant falsehoods being slung around with my name attached, but I think any reasonable, rational adult would feel the same.

I have no idea what Apex is doing as I work on Battlefield. I would recommend chatting with their CM if you have questions. I wouldn’t possible begin to guess where they are or what initiatives they have going forward.

u/darkshado34 - Great clickbait thread!

I didn’t say it was “fixed”. I said it’s improved, and we’re continuing to work on it. Maybe go re-read my post and then think about editing yours to have factual information.

Absolutely. And thank you for sharing the link so I can take notes.

That’s what we’re hoping. More details to come as soon as we get them from the Dev team.

And just remember, authenticity doesn’t mean not fun. To a lot of us, sporting the authentic uniforms is fun especially since it’s a WW2 game.

Totally understand. Authenticity is important to a lot of folks. My argument was about realism. It’s nuanced, but there is a difference.

For example, authentic would be era appropriate British and German uniforms. Realism would take that further, in my opinion, such as folks asking for Nazi uniforms. (And before this gets taken out of context or downvoted to the seventh circle of Hades, I am not insinuating folks want to dress like Nazis - though there are some that have asked for this specifically).

I’m enjoying these conversations and hope we can continue them in a positive and constructive way.
