Hi All,

Just a heads up that Daylight Savings time starts for us this weekend, so there's likely to be bumps with the mission system.

Have a treat: THED-STCO-METH-ANON gives you 4 Tier 7 St. Patrick's Jeweled chests. Expires Friday, March 18th, 2022 at 2pm Pacific Time (UTC -7.)

Have a good weekend,

Okay, how about an alternative then? Hold a "sunset" sale. There are likely some things people would still like to pick up if they're gonna keep playing, and getting them at a discount would be a great gesture by CNE.

I'll discuss with the team having a sunset sale, and we'll see what happens. :)

I bought too many crusaders, I can't remove them from party, I'm in the negative for gold find and I went from having a great time before my reset to....well....this. Please help me!

How to leave an objective was answered in your thread with the same question.

it's been fun playing through all these years since the early months, sad there won't be new content it was always fun to see what new characters showed up. Just wanted to tell the people working that they did an amazing job!

As for questions, I hope it's not too late, did you have any crusaders in the making before the sunset was decided, and can we see them if there were? And is there any plan or ideas for a new game, or everything is going to Idle Champions?

We look forward to seeing the creation.

I'll pass it along to the team.

While being ahead in design and art would have been nice, for Crusaders we were really on the edge, doing things fairly close to the release date, so it's not like there's any concept art or Crusaders planned for past Nate's Candy Conundrum. Just like loose ideas, ie a plant-themed Crusader for Gardeners of the Galaxy is about as planned as that event was before we made the decision.

Everything will be focused on Idle Champions for the moment, but the studio would like to do a new game at some point in the future, so keep an eye out on the Codename socials for details when that happens.

I want to thank all of the team at Code Name E. for 5 years (in my case) of entertainment/distraction. I've loved the little stories of each floor and of each mission, etc. The artwork is superb. I will really miss it, although not for a while yet as I intend to keep playing until I get through all the objectives.

I do have one question: will we still be able to buy chests after the sunset date? I would like to continue to do so.

Yes, purchases will still be available after the content sunset date.

I'll pass it along to the team. Thank you for being part of the Crusaders journey. :)

All the packs will still be available to purchase. It's just the new content that's stopping.

Aqua will remain just in flash sales, but we do force the taskmasters to show up every so often if you're still missing golden epics, so you don't have to buy all the golden items just to see a taskmaster flash sale.

Or better how do I abandon this mission and go back to the normal game, I know it's "sunsetting" but I just want to play this game I just found :(

There are a couple ways to leave an objective.

The first is the actual Abandon: if you hover the objective icon in the top UI, you'll see the objective information and a "See All Objectives" button. You can press that, choose a new objective you're eligible to start, and the game will confirm the abandon. You can do it once every 15 minutes.

The other way would be getting enough gold to reset the world: so enough to level the Crusader with the reset to 150 and the reset the world fee.

If you click and hold down the mouse on a Crusader, you can drag them back to the bench to remove them from the formation.

This is very late but if this is by chance seen, I would request legendary crafting scaling with the catalysts, at this rate with only 3 crafts a week I'm about a year or more away from all Legs. Just a thought,

Thanks again for crusaders my favorite idle game I've ever played!

We won't be changing the costs for Legendary crafting, but there's still the loop hole that you get a Free Craft coin as a disenchant if you have a Legendary version of the Golden Epics in the Challenge Token Store before you make the purchase of them. So that can help getting Legendary gear quicker.

You're welcome for Crusaders! Thank you for being part of the journey. :)

You've said the weekend buff promos are ending, but are the weekend buffs going to loop around in some way? Or will we just see their chests appear in the store at random?

The weekend buffs to Crusaders will not be happening either. We'll be changing the related Talent in the final content updates.

The existing chests will continue to appear in the various stores as they do now.

This is... extremely upsetting news. I've been playing Crusaders of the Lost Idols for years at this point, never in an "optimizing" way, but just in a slow, steady way that was fun for me. I figured I'd get to it all eventually, so what was the rush.

I don't regret my slow or unoptimized game play, but I'm still sad at the news. I hope the best for everyone who's worked on this game, and I'll probably keep plodding along as long as the game continues to run.

Slow and steady means there's still content to explore, so that's something to look forward to.

The servers will remain up for as long as possible, so you might be able to do it. :)

I've never bought one before (as technically this is the first season I've been able to play from the beginning of one), so was curious if I could throw some money down for the last hoo-rah!

I'm a relatively new player (227days) and actually preferred this to Idle Champions, but I wish everyone on the team well on their future journies!

Yes, there will be a Season 7 season pass for players to purchase if they wish.

Totally understandable. While there are some similarities between the games, there are enough different mechanics that may or may not line up with what players look for in idle games.

Thank you for playing Crusaders. :)

Sunsetting in this context just means no more new content updates.

The game servers will continue running as long as possible, so players can continue to play.

It was an everyone problem. Amazon took down the server that the CNE website and the CNE launcher chat server were hosted on, and we were working on getting it back up.

The CNE launcher chat should be working again now though.

It was a constant in my life for its full runtime, something I could sink a few minutes into every day, check up every couple of hours. I'm definitely sad to see it end, but that's because I have such fondness for it, and its charming designs.

Thank you for providing for seven years, and I want to wish the team all the best on their next projects. Much love.

It's been a long and fun time with Crusaders for sure, and the eclectic nature of the design is a cool evolution.

Thank you for being on the adventure with us. :)

R.I.P. COTLI, and thank you for keeping me sane for the last 18 months.

...sounds like a bug. I'll chat with Wilson about the best way to fix those EP.

Glad we could help with the sanity. :)

If it goes sunset, I wish that permanent final 7th season will remain as long as the final season won't end for COTLI (until it is delisted/closed down in few coming years, only time will tell as we don't plan on closing down the game, almost just yet), it is just (like or) as Starcraft 2 remained in game, even without support updates after the final one in 2020.

Hi NoEstablishment413,

Yup, there are definitely some hard core players in the community, and it's always amazing at how many players have been with us for the whole game.

Wilson was explaining to me that Season 7 will technically need to have an end date as it's just the way seasons are coded, but it will be set to be as "unending" as we can make it, which if I remember right was some time in 2031.
