Thank you for this! Can I nitpick and point out the great work is done by the team at Blue Byte, not Ubisoft who as publishers have likely more a hand in e.g. marketing and distribution, not the ideas and development itself.
Well, we are all Ubisoft employees, and our studio is actually called “Ubisoft Mainz”, rather than Blue Byte :)
scenarios are making their return to the Anno franchise: they plan to release at least (!) one new scenario with each DLC
If I'm not wrong, it's worth to precise that these new scenario will have the same "ecological game mode" than the one who will be out the 14 December. They will not have the classical anno 1800 gameplay.
That is not correct. Season 4’s DLCs are unrelated to “Eden Burning”.
Okay, so this feels a bit forced by Ubisoft instead of what Blue Byte Mainz wanted to do. Hope I'm wrong.
I think the existing game features should be improved instead of adding lots new stuff. Like making the Arctics relevant. You can easily set up a few islands there and forgot about them forever. The Expeditions are also kinda meh. Same stories repeating without real depths of the decisions. I'm glad it will focus on the New World though, additional tiers really have place in the game.
I can assure you that it is us on the team that comes up with the ideas and brings them to HQ to get approval for developing them.
I know for certain cause I have been part of presenting them to management for all 4 Seasons :)
This game is the best thing Ubisoft has done and one of the best games in its genre. I hope they never let this franchise go. We very rarely see a Triple A studio making a strategy game nowadays, that's why its also so precious to me. A big well done to everyone who worked at this project, you can tell its made with passion!

I don't know how to feel. I personally don't like them saying and acting every time as if there will be nothing anymore and then there is a new season anyway.
Doing it this way, it starts to feel like they want people to buy the newest complete edition before they say: oh here is more for you to buy after all.
I'd rather have a different form of communication. This comes off a bit wrong at this point.
We didn’t say that there would definitely not be more beyond Season 3. At the same time, the new editions come out at the start of the Season, when we don’t even ourselves know if there will be another Season in the next year. Obviously we cannot sell something that may or may not happen.
