First of all, welcome to the Anno community! To avoid any confusion: No, the current Year 3 Complete Edition will not give you access to Season 4.

So you can either get Year 3 Complete and then the Season 4 Pass later, or you could wait for the probable Year 4 Complete Edition coming soon :)

As for the recommendations which DLCs to play first, I will leve that to your fellow players!

Already exited :) More content to feed my crippling ANNO addiction. Also more money to spent on the the franchise, lol :D

Probably the best 24,99€ (or local equivalent) you will spend next Tuesday!*

*Maybe?

They have almost undoubtedly been working on the next one for some time already. All the previous Anno games came out between 29 and 54 months after the previous game. That means almost certainly the next game will be out next year, probably as early as the spring, since April 2023 is exactly 48 months after Anno 1800 was released, and the average time between releases since Anno 1503 (the second of the series) in 2002 has been 42 months.

The longest Time Between Releases was 54 months, between the first (Anno 1602) and second games, and even matching that time frame would bring the next game out by the fall of 2023.

That also means that this Season 4 coming out this year is the last of Anno 1800, at least from the 'regular' Design Team.

Keep in mind that for every other Anno game, the post-launch support ended roughly 1 year after launch. With the announcement of Season 4, you know that Anno 1800 will be supported for at least 3 1/2 years after launch, which obviously takes team ressources that were not needed for the previous games.

Is it just me, or does anyone hate when there are announcements for announcements? Not only Ubisoft, but other companies as well.

It would probably be a bad idea not to announce a live stream in advance and to just hope that people are randomly on Twitch at the right time to see it :)

How much does a newly released season pass cost usually, does anyone know?

I would probably set aside your currency's equivalent of around 24,99€, to be on the safe side.

What did I just read?

Well, we said it will be in late March, so it is actually real “soon”, not Valve Time Soon ™️

Hope springs eternal.
