If you're a seasoned player thinking of starting a new farm when 1.5 comes out, I'd like to highlight a couple of new features. There will be a new farm type, "Beach Farm", and a new "Advanced Game Options" menu, from which you can adjust some aspects of the game:

@Dio82 I don't mind if streamers use Stardew Valley music in the background. I'm not sure how flagging works, if it's some kind of automated thing, but I can tell you I'm not going around flagging anyone.

@kukuruz_gorbach you can expect a lot of new content, a lot of it is post-Community Center stuff, so I'd call it "end game" content but in a way finishing the CC now feels like just the beginning. Don't want to oversell it though... you'll see and I I hope you like it

@bighatpaul the age rating for the game changed in Europe, from PEGI 7 to PEGI 12 due to the "simulated gambling" in the game. For playstation, this required an entire new build of the game with the whole QA/cert process, etc. even though the only thing that changed was the age rating

@Domlnnit It might come out this year on PC, and then on console early next year

I know I said the game would be back on Playstation Europe store "very soon" last month. I was wrong. Still working on it with Sony. You can still play the game if you already own it, just can't buy it right now. I of course want it back up ASAP but the process is very slow

@DabbinHart I'm still working on it with Sony. I'll let everyone know as soon as It's back up or as soon as there's new information about it

@zLaioung @DabbinHart I was wrong about "very soon" and I'm still working on getting the game back up on the European Playstation Store. Calling it a "lie" is pretty harsh. I'm not always correct in my estimates

@guidofraga It's definitely more heavy on the late-game content, but there are some new features/options that you can choose for a new game that might make a fresh run worthwhile

the 1.5 update is in the "home stretch", it's a very big update so there is a lot of polishing and bug fixing necessary to make sure it's ready. It'll be very fun to share it with all of you in the near future. I think you'll be really happy and surprised with all the new stuff!

@TheDojoSmash Yup! splitscreen will be coming to console and PC, though the number of simultaneous players might vary (on PC, you will be able to have up to 4, but on some platforms it might be limited to 2)
