@YangCLiu Let's see where D:I ends up in 12 months from now, that'll be more telling. If anything monetization right now looks like it's on the low end of what I would have expected.

There hardcore monetization might bite them in the ass outside of Asia.

@YangCLiu Worth pointing out, that at least based on our internal numbers, these are off by quite a margin. But comparing apples to apples (no pun intended) it should be more or less fair (even though I can also see some inconsistencies there with our internal numbers).

@YangCLiu That's combined iOS + Android. 250,000 mostly organic (I haven't seen much ads) users and for now flattened out there is "pretty good", I'd say. 😉

Some Sensor Tower benchmarks:

@YangCLiu Not sure if it's diminishing the effort. People still need to pay a subscription. I'd be more curious to see what happens to your content when you cancel that one. 😅

@YangCLiu ... they could minimize cannibalization, while getting both some direct income from MS and an increase in player base + potential for upselling with cosmetics. Must be their main business anyhow, at least for Valorant & Co.

@YangCLiu There's a bunch of good reasons why this might make sense for them. I'd expect most of their players primarily playing to compete and most of them only utilize a small set of champions (etc.).

If they were able to validate the overlap between Riot accounts and XBGP accounts...
