Now: who is playing Axie? The TL;DR is: "players" in wealthy countries have the purchase power to buy Axies. They are the minority. Most players (share of DAU) comes from low-income countries or countries with hyper inflation, ex. Venezuela.

End of January 2022 the value of SLP dipped below 0.01$/SLP. Instead of 75$/day all of a sudden you'd earn 2.5$/day and it would take 90-120 days to pay off the initial investment.

SLP peaked at north of 0.30$/SLP in summer 250 x 0.30 = 75$/day, which means the initial investment is amortized in 3-4 days.

That is *if* the currency is stable. Which it isn't.

By winning games you can win currency, which is capped/day and has value in the real world, based on demand. Realistically an average player earns around 200-250 SLP (or Smooth Love Portions).

In order to play the game you require a team of Axies. 3, in fact. How do you get them? Well, you have to put money on the table. About 75-100 USD for a "regular" Axie, so 225-300 USD initial investment.

@asapbolt_ @Dani_Supercell @Paula_Supercell Pin packs can only be served if you are eligible of pins for each rarity. Not ideal, but that's how it works at the moment. This is why we've buffed the alternative reward to something of higher value.

Will likely change at some point in the future.
