In order to start each account with a different setting, each account has to have it’s own profile. You can use the profile management tool to create different profiles.

Try this:

Start the launcher.
Click EVE launcher in the apple menu at the top of your screen.
Click Preferences
Select Tools / Caches
Version > Release
Select Wine Options
Wine version > Latest
Vide Memory > Auto Detect
Use dev versions > not ticked.

If this is how your setting are set up then try deleting wine.

  • Close the launcher and the client if either is running.
  • In finder, click Go to Folder and copy paste the following

~/Library/Application Support/EVE Online/p_drive/Local Settings/Application Data/CCP/EVE/SharedCache

  • You should see a folder named Wine – move that folder to trash

Restart launcher and try running the client again.

How is the memory usage while this is occurring?
Is anything else lagging when this occurs?
Have you tried closing any third party application you may have running in the background to see if that affects this?

I would make sure:
You are not running out of memory.
The computer is not running hot.
You have the latest graphic driver installed for your graphic card.

If none of the above is a causing the issue for you I would create a loglite file and then a support ticket and attach the loglite to the ticket.

Unfortunately M1 is not supported at the movement. We are trying to fix not supporting M1 by developing the Native Mac client which is on the way though I do not have a date yet.

While we wait you can try changing from full screen to windowed mode or vice versa. Try another mouse. Turn of any third party program that might be running in the background.

It’s possible the router is closing half open connection or not allowing half open connections. I would recommend you try updating the routers firmware and see if that resolves the issue.

I found some guides here on this page. Please note this is a third party website that is not associated with CCP. You use the information pertained there at your own risk.

This usually occurs when you start a client with an account that is already running.

Your launcher log file for the session in question might have provide more details on why this occurred for you. But since the launcher only keeps the last five logs it’s unlikely you still have the log for that session.

If this happens a...

Every time you add an account the string in the cookie gets longer. At some point the string will be to long to add more. The workaround is to delete the cookie and then continue to add more accounts.

  • Press and hold the Windows key on your keyboard while pressing R (this will open a run window).
  • Copy and paste the following line into the run window: %LOCALAPPDATA%\CCP\EVE\
  • You should see a few folders there. One should be named QtWebEngine
  • Open that folder. Then open Default.
  • Delete the two of the files in there. Cookies and Cookies-journal.

After that you should be able to add more accounts.

If your screens are going black it’s most likely a driver issue that is being triggered by EVE and or other applications running on your computer. Windows Event Viewer might provide more details on what could be causing the issue.

Updating or reinstalling your graphic driver might help.

Just tested all links on the launcher on my iMac. Unable to reproduce your issue. Everything works. I would try resetting the launcher.

  • Copy and paste the following into the Go To Folder text box and press enter.

~/Library/Application Support/CCP/EVE/Qt/WebEngine
