Interesting way to say hello, but Thanks. Remember we have a place for your comments, suggestions and concerns. And believe it or not, we do read those comments, suggestions and concerns and do pass them along to our dev's and such. Just a suggestion, that you post these in those sections.

Ya know, I have always said, RADAR doesn't bother or worry me when I'm in a DD, if I get lit by it, most times you're right though, it's my fault.

My friend, you are doing first off, what most will not. Asking questions. This is huge, how are you to learn how to play or get better if you do not. Secondly, remember, that random battles are well, random.... you're going to have the really "good" players and really "not so good" players in battle with you. If you are playing a specific class and feel you are not doing so well in that class, but not changing tactics or trying a different way of playing said class or ship then the experience is not going to change.

As you stated, this is a game, that is the first thing. You can, shut in game chat off if it becomes toxic, which happens sometimes as we get frustrated or what have you.

I always try to tell players, don't hurry up the tiers, which is pretty easy when you throw camo on and signals etc etc, Everyone wants that bright shiny Montana or Kurfurst, but that having a Tier X doesn't lend to skill. As some have suggested, YouTube videos are a go...

Actually got coined Hapa Haole Boy when I was at Pearl... cause ya know... main lander that is half Japanese :)

I just wanted to pop in here and say Aloha to everyone! I’m Hapa_Fodder or Hapa for short. I just joined the amazing team at Wargaming Austin as a new Community Manager and I sincerely look forward to engaging you and hopefully meeting you in person at one of the many meet ups, in game or here on these forums!

I retired from the US Navy last year with over 20 years in service. I served on board the USS John Young (DD-973), USS Lake Champlain, (CG-57), USS Bataan (LHD-5), USS Boxer (LHD-4) and USS New Orleans (LPD-18). I also spent some time teaching naval history, small arms marksmanship, self-defense and many other topics to mostly officers from the lowly ensign (butter bars) up to one-star admirals.

Over the course of my time in the Navy I deployed 10 times and spent almost a year in a very hot sandy place on the other side of the planet. I worked mostly on the Close-In Weapo...

You know what is awesome about freedom of choice? You get to CHOOSE whether you play or not, whether you do CW or Ranked or Randoms. Whether you take a break, or not. Whether you reset a line or not.... No one is twisting anyones arm to MAKE anyone do anything in this game. Including paying for anything.... I have every tier X and when the Research Bureau came up I reset EVERYTHING which was a great thing, it made me relearn ships I had forgotten about.

But what is important, I get to choose!

I think the fact you owned up to it is huge. I dont know how many times I have had friendlies torp AT ME when I'm moving towards the enemy and have the friendly TK'r tell me it was MY fault....

I rarely if EVER tk, and if I do, I own it right away. To be honest. Being humble can go a long ways in this community to make for a better gaming experience +1!

Yes, I have, I have played every DD line to X, and, NOPE CV's don't bug me too much. Because TBH, A: MOST CV drivers don't focus DD's like they should and B: I know to not be out front by myself initially. I play it like a cruiser at first, staying back, keeping stuff at range and using my speed to position myself appropriately. Though I DO agree at higher tiers its a bit frustrating, I can work around it.

BUT AGAIN more than 1 CV, yeah NO....

Once I noticed the increase of AT TIER battles since the last update. Where it APPEARS, that MM is trying to make the tiering more enjoyable. I have stop worrying about sitting in que for over a min. if they make this the standard, ONE CV PER BATTLE, then I would be willing to wait longer as well.

I am of the school of thought that CV's are about as balanced as they need to be right now. HOWEVER, I COMPLETELY and wholeheartedly believe and agree that there should NEVER, EVER, EVER be more than 1 CV in a battle per team. EVEN when I play a CV, I get annoyed when I see 2 CV's on each team....

I am willing to sit in que LONGER if this means it doesn't occur.... It's annoying, it's frustrating and TBH it ruins a game...

LOL, yeah, thats normal.... since I started playing CV's a few months ago my karma from reports has dropped SIGNIFICANTLY and I have been told I don't know what I am doing (regardless of my stats proving otherwise) and have had a lot of spam like that.

All that even though I play my CV's not to be on the top of the score board, I don't care about kills or damage so much as spotting and area denial, but I still don't help enough for some players...

Most recently I had 29 spotting ribbons, 198k spotting dmg, 169k damage myself and 3 kills and I had 4 reports in that battle that we WON because I wasn't "supporting" cruisers that were out of position enough....

I am sure I will be trolled, but I have learned that I ignore or shut chat off now when I play CV's.

As a DD main, I don't care about CV's much, TBH, I have heard a lot of people complaining that it's impossible to play DD's today... this is not true... AT ALL. What...

Let me be clear, if this change was to decrease the amount of battles you get up tiered 2 tiers, I am ALL FOR sitting in que for over a min... In other words if it is "working as intended" then YAY!
