Hey everyone, we’re working to address this issue now. See this post for details: Regarding Competitive Leaver Penalties in Season 10
Greetings heroes,
We’ve identified an issue that incorrectly penalized some players with a Season Ban after being disconnected from only a single Competitive Game on April 23rd. We have identified the issue and have prevented additional bans. We are now working to remove the Season Ban from impacted accounts. Thank you for your patience as we work to fix the issue for affected players. There is no need to start a ticket with Customer Support as they are unable overturn Competitive or Unranked leaver penalties.
To learn more about how our Leaver Penalties work, see our Season 10 Defe...

Hello there. Starting in Season 9, we moved earning bonus points at the end of the season, to the new bonus Competitive Point progression meter which rewards 100 Competitive Points for every 30 games played (with wins counting as triple progress). You can complete the progression meter up to 30 times every season, earning 3,000 points, enough to get a Jade or Golden weapon variant of your choice. You can also earn 10 points for winning games of Competitive Play as well throughout the season. Learn more about the Competitive update we introduced last season here.

We hope you continue to enjoy the Balanced Overwatch game mode throughout the rest of the week.
Thanks for bringing this to our attention, while its not intended to be restricted, you’ll need to make sure to say “Thanks” to specifically a Support hero (just like the occasional Daily challenge) to get this Challenge completed. Sorry for the confusion.
We’re working on this, basically everyone’s ready to dig into Venture’s new kit, so loading the Practice Range might be a bit slow for a little while.
Update: this is now resolved and loading the Practice Range should take the normal amount of time.

Read moreWe have seen reports where players can no longer earn progress on the Competitive Point bonus progression, and we want to clarify what is going on. After you complete 30 full rounds of progression, earning a total of 3,000 bonus Competitive Points, you can no longer earn any additional Competitive Point bonuses for the remainder of the season. However, you can still earn Competitive Points when you win and draw games outside of the bonus progression. The purpose is to ensure that players are doing the best they can in every Competitive match and not just playing the mode solely to collect Competitive Points that are used to unlock Jade Weapons. Thank you for your feedback and reports, and we wish you luck as you climb the ranks for the remainder of Season 9.

Season 9 brings core gameplay updates, a reworked Competitive game mode, and a new Co-op event that will test the courage of even the bravest heroes as they face a dangerous threat of cosmic proportions.
Greetings heroes!
Overwatch 2 Season 9 is launching on February 13 and will be featuring significant game updates. This patch will also be a “rebase” patch which will require a very large download for all players on all platforms. Rebase patches consolidate our patches into the core game, which in the long run, keeps the final data size of the game client manageable for both PC and console.
You will need to have as much as 38 GB of free space on your system when updating. If you do not have that much space, you can also uninstall the game client and reinstall it in full after the patch goes live on February 13. We understand some of our players may have limited bandwidth or data to download large updates, and we apologize for any inconvenience that this causes you. Thank you for your understanding, and we’ll see you on February 13.
Special Drops to celebrate the Calling All Heroes Championship are here. Earn these unique rewards by tuning in to Calling All Heroes Championship broadcasts from February 2 through February 4.
