Yesterday, we disabled Heroic Duels to prevent malicious users from using third party software to break deckbuilding restrictions. This is a violation of our Terms of Service, and the offending accounts have been banned.

We are currently testing a fix to close the vulnerability as soon as possible. Once confirmed, this will be added in a server-side hotfix and the Heroic Duels queue will be reenabled.

Additionally, players who had lost Heroic Duels games to illegal decks will receive 10 Tavern Tickets–these will be granted to impacted player accounts at a later date.

Edit 2: It looks like we missed one category of cheaters, so we’re opening this back up to finish the job.

Patch 27.4 is now live and Yogg-Saron is unleashed from his prison in the new 38-card Fall of Ulduar Mini-Set! Follow this page for updates on issues we’re tracking with this patch.

The following are some of the known issues we’re tracking this patch:

• [Added 9/19] We’ve received reports of antivirus software flagging “audioplugin_fluxer.dll” as malware. This is a false positive that has been submitted to the antivirus vendors for clearance. The file can be safely restored without risk and we are working to clear the flags as quickly as possible.

• [Added 9/19] The team is investigating an issue with Battlegrounds games unexpectedly hanging. Maiev has (ironically) gone dormant and is temporarily unavailable as a Hero until a fix is found.

• [Resolved 9/22] Some Hearthstone anomalies have unintuitive interactions with Start of Game cards such as Prince Renathal. A fix is coming in a future hotfix patch....

Hello everyone,

With the 24.6 update we launched a special test campaign to welcome players that are returning to Hearthstone, in the form of 20, 80, and 150 card pack bundles. It’s been great to see the excitement from players receiving those bundles, but we’ve also seen some common questions on the details.

Regarding eligibility, this campaign is limited to particular regions and types of players. For this iteration of returning player gifts, we’ve expanded the number of countries across Europe, North America, the Middle East, and Africa.

Various additional factors went into determining gift tiers across player groups, such as when they were last active in Ranked, or the number of expansions they’ve engaged with. Those eligible received their gift on November 2, and have until December 31 to claim it.

• Tavish and Flurgl now have less Armor (moved to Armor Tier 2).
• The following Quest Rewards are now harder to earn: The Smoking Gun, Victim’s Specter

• Karl is no longer the Jailer’s buddy.

Alongside our major announcements this Tuesday we updated our website’s Card Library to include new cards from the Death Knight Class and March of the Lich King expansion. Additionally, Death Knight deck building has been enabled there to allow for early theory crafting!

We’re aware of an unexpected issue with the implementation of this feature that has caused some cards to show up with different stats than their in-game counterparts. The inaccuracies do not reflect planned changes to these cards, with the exception of Theotar, the Mad Duke, and Ice Revenant; those 2 changes will arrive with our 25.0 update.

Dev Comment: Two cards not in the March of the Lich King set will be receiving nerfs in the 25.0 patch: Theotar, the Mad Duke and Ice Revenant.

After all of the new info we shared in yesterday’s Expansion Announcement Stream, there are a few clarifications we wanted to share regarding Signature Cards:

• There are 18 Signature cards launching with March of the Lich King (15 of which are Legendaries). The 3 non-legendaries are free, from a launch event. 2 are on the Tavern Pass. The remaining 13 are random drops from bundles/packs.
• With March of the Lich King packs, Standard packs, and Class packs, Signature cards drop at the same rate as Golden Legendary cards, and are purely in addition to all other drops (other than replacing a Normal Common). As a result, the total legendary drop rate in these packs is slightly higher.
• In March of the Lich King, Golden Packs have been upgraded to Signature Golden Packs. While these are essentially the same as Golden Packs, they’ll also drop Signatures at triple the Golden Legendary rate, in addition to all other drops (apart from replaci...

• [Resolved 7/26] The team is aware that Achievements that granted Sunken City cards were able to be claimed after Patch 24.0 went live and that for many players those cards were already claimed. This is not a bug, but part of the shift from one expansion period to the next. Those are cards that were given on the Sunken City Rewards Track, converted to Achievements in anticipation of the end of the Sunken City expansion period. Some people have already received those cards and completed those achievements; others will still have a chance to earn those free cards by completing those achievements later.

• The Darkmoon Prize, Repeat Customer, has been temporarily disabled in Battlegrounds due to a bug.

• [6/28, Resolved] A very small number of players incorrectly received a Golden Mercenary Portrait for Yogg-Saron, and/or Yogg-Saron as a Mercenary, after purchasing items that included a Random Legendary Portrait. A small hotfix was deployed to prevent this from happening further, however affected players will not lose the Mercenary or Portrait and will also receive a Random Legendary Portrait shortly after 24.0 goes live. (and Yogg-Saron will be available as a Mercenary soon!)
