We made the following edits to this week’s beta update notes:

• PRIEST
  • Shadow
    • Mind Melt now stacks up to 3 times (was 4).

The following note has been removed. Mythic+ rewards remain the same and can be viewed in the Season 1 and Raid Schedule Overview article.

• Hero track loot from Mythic+ now drops at a maximum of 1/6 (was 2/6).

Season of Discovery

• Increased the number of Firelands Invader, Obsidian Reaver, and Obsidian Surger spawns for the Blackrock Eruption event across Searing Gorge.
• The Might of Stormwind buff will now appear properly in the tooltip when a Chronoboon is used.

  • Devilcore Leggings and Devilcore Gloves patterns can now drop from additional sources other than King Mosh.
  • All of the revamped or new Molten Core items that were strictly Unique are now Unique-Equipped to allow master looters to hold these items during raids.

We identified an issue that caused Antique Bronze Bullion to become discontinued early unintentionally. Bullions will begin dropping again with the next weekly reset, allowing players to get the one they would have missed (the 13th) as catch-up, alongside the regular 14th Bullion. After this reset, Bullion will continue to drop each week until the War Within launches.

This week’s update to the War Within Beta is now available to test. Please note that there is a possibility of some server instabilities over the next few days. If you encounter any issues with instabilities, please report them in the bug reporter.

  • Death Strike can now only heal the Death Knight for a percentage of damage taken from a given damage event once. Death Strikes that heal the minimum health amount do not count as using damage events in this way.
  • Enfeeble reduces damage dealt to you by 12% (was 15%).
  • Null Magic reduces Magic damage taken by 8% (was 10%).

Hello everyone! We’ve got some more delve news.

We’ve activated Season 1 of Delves on our Alleria and Khadgar realms. This means players can begin to access tiers 4 and up naturally to experience our seasonal progression. It also means the Great Vault is activated for players to see our new World slot! Xekvir’s lair is still planned to only be accessible when the season goes live after the expansion launches.

Tuning and Experience

Across the board we’ve increased the XP rewards from delves during level up as they felt a bit too low.

We’ve also done a general tuning pass across all tiers and will continue to monitor difficulty for all specs and classes. From your feedback and from our testing we saw that delves became particularly punishing throughout level up, and that many specs felt like they had to be several item levels higher than the recommended item level to survive.

• Ominous Conch cooldown lowered to 1 minute (was 5 minutes).
• Increased the drop rate of Ominous Conch found in Tuskarr Tackle Boxes.
• Ominous Conch now has a maximum stack size of 20.
  • Developers’ notes: Ominous Conch used to have a maximum stack size of 20 in earlier patches, and that was removed. Since we’re putting the max back on it, we think it’s best to also reduce the associated achievement requirements and cooldown.
