Here is the latest updates to the Guardians of the Dream PTR. The patch notes article will be updated with this information shortly.

DRAGONFLIGHT SEASON 3

• At the beginning of Season 3 (November 14 in this region), Keystones will drop 11 levels in addition to any normal weekly reduction that may have occurred. Here’s what that might look like:
  • Example 1: You completed a +15 the week of November 7-14, but didn’t time it. The resulting key would normally drop by 1 level, because your highest key wasn’t timed (15 > 14). It will then drop an additional 11 levels due to the season rollover decay (14 > 3).
  • Example 2: You timed a +15 the week of November 7-14. The resulting key would normally be level 15, because you had timed the 15 last week. But would then drop the additional 11 levels due to season rollover decay (15 > 4).

Hello! We’ve identified the issue with the missing Cosmic Weapon Cache items. The missing items should be returned over the course of this week.

The below hotfixes have been applied or will be applied to the Guardians of the Dream PTR as hotfixes over the course of this week and next week.

    • Demon Hide bonus to magic damage reduced to 3% (was 4%).
    • Fel Barrage damage reduced by 6%.
    • Shattered Destiny now requires 12 Fury spent per increase to demon form duration (was 10 Fury).
  • Vengeance
    • Amirdrassil, the Dream’s Hope (2) Set Bonus – Flare Up damage now benefits from talents that increase Fire damage.

    • Developers’ note: We have concerns about the amount of Essence Bursts Preservation is able to generate through the new 2 piece bonus, so we’re reducing the number of Living Flames it can cast. We are also tweaking the 4 piece bonus to be more c...

The Guardians of the Dream PTR has been updated with the following changes:

ITEMS

• Developers’ note: As players prepare to delve into Amirdrassil, we are adjusting several Aberrus trinkets to account for changes to tuning targets and philosophy as well as to mitigate effects which have proven simply too synergistic with class power. As with Vault of the Incarnates, we want to avoid scenarios where item power could drive players to continue running old content that they otherwise would leave behind.
  • Rashok’s Molten Heart mana restore reduced by 70%, healing reduced by 50%, and Versatility reduced by 20%.
  • Beacon to the Beyond damage reduced by 11%.
  • Ominous Chromatic Essence secondary stat granted reduced by 5%.
  • Neltharion’s Call to Dominance duration increased to 20 seconds (was 10 seconds), but primary stat granted reduced by 50%.

    • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible (4) Set Bonus – Souls required to trigger Recrimination increased to 60 (was 20).
    • Aberrus, the Shadowed Crucible (4) Set Bonus – Duration of Fiery Brand applied by Set Bonus reduced to 3 seconds (was 6 seconds).

  • Mistweaver
    • Blackout Kick damage increased by 15%. Does not apply in PvP combat.
    • Tiger Palm damage increased by 50%. Does not apply in PvP combat.
    • Spinning Crane Kick damage increased by 5%.
    • Faeline Stomp healing and damage increased by 150% (was 100%).
    • Ancient Teachings of the Monastery may now stack up to 4 times (was 3).

• Arathi Basin / Deepwind Gorge resource acquisition increased to 7/10/15/50/65 for bases held (was 7/10/13/20/80).
• Eye of the Storm resource acquisition increased to 7/15 for bases held (was 5/12).
• Into the Shadows movement Speed increased to 100% (was 50%).

  • Any Means Necessary now correctly shows the same percent value before and after talenting into it.
  • Cycle of Binding now works with Precise Sigils.
  • Inertia now triggers correctly after using Immolation Aura twice before using Fel Rush.

    • Retaliation damage increased by 50%.
    • Sigil of Flame with Ascending Flame now reapplies Frailty when hit with another Sigil of Flame.
    • Chains of Anger now correctly increases cast reticle size of Sigils.

    • Burning Hatred now generates an additional 40 Fury (was 50).
    • Inner Demon now deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets.
    • Inertia damage bonus reduced to 18% (was 20%).
    • Chaotic Disposition chaos damage duplicated reduced to 17% (was 21%).
  • Vengeance
    • Darkglare Boon and Sigil of Misery have swapped talent locations.
    • Fel Devastation cooldown reduced to 40 seconds (was 1 minutes).
    • Fiery Brand now deals damage every 1 second (was 2 seconds), dealing the same total damage over its duration.

  • Throne of the Tides now has updated encounters and enemies throughout the dungeon, and the jellyfish elevator has been replaced with a portal. Available for testing in this week’s Mythic+ test.
  • Adjustments to the duration of several story scenes in Dawn of the Infinite on Mythic+ difficulty.
  • The Yalnu encounter in The Everbloom has been updated.

  • Many talents have changed locations and/or available connections.

    • Fixed an issue with the following critical damage bonuses not attributing the correct amount of damage to Ignite when an ability crit: Overflowing Energy, Wildfire, and Searing Rage (Amirdrassil, the Dreams Hope set bonus effect).

Secrets of Azeroth

• On the secret day starting with “They Are Always Listening”, you should now get the quest “A Complete Inventory” from Fangli Hoot if you do not get it automatically by investigating all 6 notes.
• Updated some of the quests to address issues where players could fail to receive a clue because secrets had been started on different characters.

WoW Classic Era and Hardcore

• Fixed an issue where certain hunter pets could be dismissed and attack nearby players.

• ROGUE
  • Developer’s note: In Guardians of the Dream we are updating all 4 Rogue talent trees to bring them up to current standards. A sweeping pass was needed to make significant adjustments to address notable concerns, like: moving the first gate from row 3 to row 4 to match all other classes; improving pathing and increasing interconnectedness on every tree; removing 3-point nodes; and reducing the percentage of minor DPS talents taken in the Class tree to make room for more flavorful and robust utility options. We also wanted to use the opportunity where so many things are changing to rework or redesign some talents that needed the update, and also just to make some new talents to experience and (hopefully) enjoy. Let us know what you think!

• The Loamm Roamm Reverse Challenge silver medal should again be rewarded correctly.

Quests

• Chromie now offers “No Limits”, a questline delving into Eternus’s past, without requiring the Dawn of the Infinites dungeon to be completed.
• When “Stepping into the Shadows”, Maiev Shadowsong should no longer point at invisible Felflame Braziers.
• Moraidormi now stops disappearing and Nozdormu will enter stealth more appropriately during the quest “Not Today, Fate.”
• Demon Hunters who previously could not interact with the Control Console can now return to The Fel Hammer continue with their Order Hall campaign.
• Tinkmaster Overspark is visible, and “The Legend of Mechagon” is once again available to players above level 60.
