The main reason was a rebalance of ammo types across weapon categories to ensure an even distribution at the time, in this case 45cal vs 9mm. It made sense for this one due to it being the standard SMG while 9mm is typically your standard ammo type.
The ammo type in this case has very little bearing on tuning, with only a slight difference in bullet velocity and trajectory.

We felt that playing these for everyone at all times could become a bit spammy and negatively affect gameplay.

Any game tuning changes that we make will always be communicated. While there may on occasion be a day delay on official announcements, we do not make “stealth” tuning changes.
That said, there are maintenance and backend changes that may occur without announcement assuming there is no interruption to services.

Not sure but will track down the team who handles that and find out.
Correct. We pushed this change live this morning. Like I said, the clustered fights where everyone went towards the beams on initial deployment wasn't great, so now the purple beams will show when the first collapse is announced.
Just checked and it looks like we have a fix for this one slated to go live on Monday.

Sorry to intrude on this post for an unrelated subject but some people are having issues with mouse sensitivity since the patch and we are not sure if any 3arc dev is checking up on that. Its very hard to explain what exactly is the cause but something is really wrong, please look into it when possible, its making the game unplayable for some of us.
No worries. I’ve contacted our PC team at Beenox to find out what’s going on.
