Hi! We already have this feature which you suggested > "blocked words or word combinations" < but as you can see sometimes some words or combinations of words can slip through our net. Please do report any nickname you think is bad via our in game reporting system!

We constantly try to update it with new combinations when we find them.

On March 21st, 1942 the La-5, a Soviet fighter aircraft designed by Semyon Lavochkin, made its maiden flight. It was an evolution of LaGG-3 that replaced an inline engine with the stronger and more widely available Shvetsov ASh-82 radial engine; that allowed the USSR to quickly produce a huge number of new fighters. In the skies La-5 was a strong competitor to the German Bf 109, and its modifications were used until the end of the War.

To commemorate this day, from March 21st (14:00 GMT) until March 24th (12:00 GMT) La-5FN from the German research tree will be available for purchase for Golden Eagles.

Sound of the ZK 453 cannon has been tuned. Now it sounds brighter and more bass.

The Hunter F.58 was planned as an attack aircraft for the German tree which at the time had a shortage of attack aircraft at the popular BR of 9.3/9.7 especially in combined battles. So when implementing it into the game, we compared it with other strike aircraft at this BR range. The lowering of its BR from 9.7 to 9.3 on release day was made due to the fix of the technical error as we had intended its BR to be 9.3 in all modes. However after analyzing its efficiency in a significant number of battles and the feedback we received from players we decided to change its BR as well as to revise the BR of other Hunter series aircraft according to their current efficiency and battle capabilities.

Therefore we will make an exceptional change to BR which will only affect Hunter aircraft: it will happen with the release with one of the next updates. In RB, the BR of the Hunter F.58 will be changed to 9.7, the BR of the Hunter F.6 will be changed to 9.7 and t...

A new year, time for another Art Competition! And as spring is right around the corner the theme for this one is “SPRING”. So feel free to draw something around: flowers, trees blooming and bees buzzing. Your choice of vehicle/infantries/etc to be represented in your artwork is only limited to War Thunder's eras and themes and your very own imagination. Your artwork can be based on our real world and its history, or even an alternative universe if you so choose. Your work can be realistic, or even be a cartoon.

Banned accounts

We regularly block users who violate the Terms of Use and EULA. Since January 2023, 261 accounts have been blocked in the game for using prohibited client modifications and today we have decided to publish a list of these offenders in a dedicated forum topic. This list will be available within two weeks of publication.

In addition, during March 2023 we discovered more than 300 episodes of malicious destruction of allies. In these cases the offenders have been automatically blocked for up to 7 days.

Having an account permanently banned will result in a player losing everything in that account - Be warned!

Hunter F.58 — BR in RB has been changed from 9.7 to 9.3.


A bug that caused the player to spawn in AB ground battles in an air strike with the UH-1B (Japan) without weaponry has been fixed.


Kikka - A bug where in the X-Ray view the second Type 5 30mm cannon was missing has been fixed (report).


Kurnass / Kurnass 2000 - A bug that allowed the creation of a weaponry preset with AIM-9G missile together with AIM-7 missile on the wingtip has been fixed.

FlaRakRad — a bug has been fixed where the radar sector remained stationary while turning the turret.
